Snow melt Alberta Falls

Snow melt Alberta Falls

I am one of the old folks but love to take photos of waterfalls. My friend Dave and I hiked up and was a pretty easy hike. We got there at the time of the big snow melt and I got some great photos. This is well worth the short hike and the scenery was beautiful all the way there.

Karen's reply: Thanks so much for your great picture of Alberta Falls...I love to take photos of waterfalls too, which is why I'm always looking for new ones to photograph and add to this site.

And I agree that Alberta Falls is a pretty easy hike. For anyone who likes waterfalls, this is one of the easiest ones to see in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Road condition to Alberta Falls
by: Karen

Howard,

The road to the Alberta Falls trailhead is paved all the way so it'll be very easy for you to get there :-). The hard part is finding a spot in the parking lot since the trail to this waterfall is very popular, so the earlier in the morning you can get there, the better.

Road Condidtion

What is the road like to get there, I hope to get to this waterfall while on a trip on a Gold Wing Motorcycle. That being said, I have been on a lot of gnarly dirt roads so I suspect I can get there, but I need to manage my time as well.

Thank you.

Howard

This waterfall is 25 ft tall and it is very fun to go to. I have been there twice.
