The Roaring Brazos Falls above Ensenada, New Mexico
by Alfonso DeHerrera Ulibarrí
(Santa Fé, NM)
Tourists of the day who came up to the Tierra Amarilla Plateau to fish, to paint or to see "El Chorro". The magnificent "Roaring Brazos Falls" on the Brazos Cliffs above Ensenada, that when the ice melts after a snowy winter you can hear its roar for miles, much like several freight trains as it cascades down that majestic vertical granite wall and you can feel the spray of the icy water as it hits the rocks below, you get close enough.
Text from one of my stories from "Growing Up In Tierra Amarilla"
