Timberline Falls

by Zach
(Windsor, CO, USA)

At 10,588', Timberline Falls dominates the open area between The Loch and the Lake of Glass on the Glacier Gorge Trail in RMNP. The falls must be climbed to reach the Lake of Glass, and further on...Sky Pond. Water flow comes from the Lake of Glass outlet and can be viewed from all angles. It is 3.9 miles from the trailhead. (mileage and elevation from protrails.com.)

Karen's reply: What a nice picture of Timberline Falls; and it looks like there's still some snow up there. We did the hike to this waterfall a few years ago, and I still remember having to hike through the stream to reach the falls. Still, it was worth it!
